Auckland Council proudly presents the 2025 Auckland Heritage Festival, running from Saturday, 20 September to Sunday, 5 October. Auckland Heritage Festival 2025 explores the spirit of sport and recreation in Tāmaki Makaurau with this year’s theme: Auckland at Play. Marking the 75th anniversary of the 1950 Empire Games, this year’s theme celebrates the stories, places and people behind our city’s sporting history – from local clubs to ngā tākaro Māori (traditional Māori games), and iconic venues and community traditions.
This event is part of the Auckland Heritage Festival 2025, running from September 20 to October 5.
