Reverend John Robert Burgin

He saw action at the Somme and was admitted to the 1st New Zealand Hospital Brochenhurst with ill health caused by gassing. He returned to New Zealand in May 1917 and was discharged into the NZ Chaplain’s department. In 1919 he became the Vicar at St Peters Church in Onehunga. He died in 1920 aged 51.
