Rev. William ready was a charismatic Bible Christian minister of the United Church. He established the Dunedin Central Mission preaching to some of the largest congregations in New Zealand. As an orphaned child of workhouse parents, William lived on the London streets, giving him a keen sense of the needs of the poor.
