Ash Interment Areas
Beautiful spaces to remember loved ones
Whether or not you’ve chosen to use our crematorium services, you may choose from a variety of options to place your loved ones ashes.
The Memorial Gardens offer plots for up to two interments of ashes, with each plaque measuring 350mm x 230mm. Flower vases are permitted behind the memorial berm within the actual garden area, and flat plaques of granite or bronze may be placed on the surrounding berms.
Columbarium/Niche
Located in the scattering lawn grounds, the Columbarium/Niche walls are a favoured memorialisation for many people. Each niche accommodates two sets of ashes and is sealed with a polished granite plaque. Once you decide on the inscription for the plaque, it will be given to a monument mason for engraving.
Walk of Memories pathway
The Walk of Memories was recently designed and captures the beautiful surroundings of Purewa, as it winds around the perimeter. On either side of this landscaped pathway you can choose an interment plot. Plaques are either granite or bronze, and are all placed on black granite bases. Every plot allows the interment of two sets of ashes.
Bronze plaque berms
Flat bronze plaques which measure 300mm x 110mm may be placed on surrounding berms. Ash lawns provide plots that can be used for two interments of ashes, and flower vases may be put behind the plaque. This area is also available as a memorial only, where no ashes are actually interred.
Small headstone area – V Block
Our small upright headstones are polished black granite and come in different shapes, with a base that fits either one or two flower vases. This area is also available as a memorial only, where no ashes are actually interred. If you would like more information on our small headstone areas, we would be pleased to assist.
Scattering Lawn
Our Scattering Lawn is a peaceful open space where you can scatter ashes.
Memorial Wall
This area is suited to families wanting to pay respects on certain days, such as on an anniversary or birthday, and ashes can be scattered here or placed elsewhere. Our Memorial Wall is suitable for plaques that measure 200mm x 70mm.
