New lawn cemetery areas, including upright headstones, raised tilted headstones and bronze plaque areas.

Lawn cemetery plots available: The large area known as the R and S Blocks, which runs across most of the northern boundary of the cemetery, have numerous plots available.

Although the upper level is full, the lower area across the path still has upright headstones, raised tilted headstones and bronze plaque berms to choose from.

This north facing lawn cemetery area is well maintained and enjoys full sun for much of the day. There are a small number of trees in the area and the newly constructed shared pathway that runs through the ‘Pourewa Valley’ is close by as is the commuter railway line.

There are also some lawn cemetery plots available in the older lawn cemetery area of H Block. The bronze plaques in all of these areas are large measuring 480mm x 380mm (19 x 15 inches).

Pre-purchase of burial plots are allowed only for imminent or immediate use, or for families who already have close family buried here (a spouse, child, parent or sibling).
