Abraham Boardman was mayor of Auckland for a brief period beginning in 1896. Died in 1897, having resigned the office due to ill health.
Abraham previously served as headmaster at a notable church school in his native Bolton, England. Migrating to New Zealand he served as superintendent of the Province, and later Curator of Intestate Estates under the General Government.
He was the first general manager of the South British Insurance Company.
