Sir David Henry
Sir David Henry was a Scottish-born industrialist and philanthropist who played an important role in consolidating the timber in industry in New Zealand. David was also a noted philanthropist, especially for his establishment of a forestry scholarship that enabled students to train overseas, and for his support of the Presbyterian Orphanages and Social Service Association.
Lewis Alfred Eady (OBE)
Lewis Alfred Eady led his family's prominent music retailing business and served as an Auckland City Councillor. Eady established the first Junior Chamber of Commerce ('Jaycees') in the southern hemisphere in 1932.
John Court
John Court was a draper, businessman, municipal leader and philanthropist noted for his generosity to civic causes in Auckland. His generosity provided playground equipment for the city parks and a life-long commitment to assisting children with disabilities. He also notably donated funds for the purchase of the elephant Jamuna for the Auckland Zoological Park.
